A wide variety of powertrain options are available across the range. 2.0L petrol engine with 6-speed automatic transmission & 2WD available on SX+, SX & S grades. 1.6L turbo petrol engine with 8-speed automatic transmission & AWD available on SX+ & GT-Line grades. 2.0L turbo diesel with 8-speed automatic transmission & AWD available on all diesel grades.
Drive & Terrain modes
Choose from a selection of Drive Modes to suit your preferences for a more personalised driving experience. Out in the mud, snow or sand, the Terrain Mode will automatically optimise the Sportage for better traction, stability, and control.
Parking Collision Avoidance Assist - Reverse*
The PCA system provides a warning if there is a risk of collision with a rear object while reversing. It automatically assists with emergency braking if the risk of collision increases after the warning. Available on GT-Line grade.
Autonomous Emergency Braking (Car/Pedestrian/Cyclist) with Junction Turning Assist*
When making a right turn across an intersection, the AEB system will detect potential oncoming traffic and automatically apply to brakes to prevent or reduce the affects of a possible collision.
Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist*
Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (BCA) combines Blind Spot Detection with Electronic Stability Control to help prevent the vehicle from colliding into vehicles in the adjacent lane or approaching from behind when the driver switches lanes.
Blind Spot View Monitor*
A second pair of eyes. By activating the turn signal, the wide-angle side mirror mounted cameras will display live footage of your blind spots on the 12.3” instrument cluster. Available on GT-Line grade.
Driver Attention Alert with Lead Vehicle Departure Alert*
Driver Attention Alert with Lead Vehicle Departure Alert (DAA+) monitors your driving and alerts you if it detects loss of concentration or tiredness. It also notifies you with an audio-visual alert when the vehicle in front has moved while stopped at a traffic light stop.
Surround View Monitor with 3D Mode*
The surround view monitor synthesises images from 4 cameras (front, side mirrors and rear) to provide a 360˚view around the car to make parking in tight spaces a breeze. 3D Mode allows you to easily drag the camera view around the vehicle for greater convenience. Available on GT-Line grade.
Lane Following Assist 2*
Lane Following Assist helps the vehicle to remain in the centre of the lane by continuously correcting the course of the vehicle.
Intelligent Speed Limit Assist*
The Intelligent Speed Limit Assist system uses the front view camera and navigation data where available to detect the maximum speed limit of the road you are driving on, and warn you if travelling over the limit.
Safe Exit Warning*
When parked or stopped, Safe Exit Warning will detect and warn you of approaching vehicles from behind on either side, alerting occupants with a sound and visual warning if they attempt to open the door into oncoming traffic.
Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist*
Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) warns the driver with audio & visual alerts when detecting vehicles approaching from either side of the vehicle when reversing. Rear Cross-traffic Collision Avoidance Assist (RCCA) combines alerts from the RCTA system with braking to help prevent possible collisions.
